How to be happy in life?
Perhaps no single
person in this world can be found who does not want the divine fruit of
happiness. But how to be happy in life? Often thousands and crores of money,
hundreds of apartments can’t buy a carefree night’s sleep, whereas a petty day the labourer has his sweet night’s repose on the road with heart’s content.
So, let’s define
happiness. Happiness
is a feature of the mind that ascends from positive mental attitudes, which,
among others, incorporate the intention to not harm or hurt others, they want to
provide help to our peers, and to be happy with life as it is (Tashi, 2004).
Much of our happiness
depends on our personality. A portion of people has an intrinsically cheerful
nature. Their positive personalities make it trifler for them to be glad. But
scientists have opined that almost half the proportion of happiness depends on the
factors that are under our regulation.
However, we can drive
away from our monotony while we are bored by---
·
Changing our mindset
·
Changing our bad habits
·
Changing our way of living
·
Taking regular physical exercise
·
Eating every day a balanced diet
moderately.
But as we are a social
being, we can’t live isolated from society. So, to live with gaiety in life----
·
We have to love our neighbours
·
Help our neighbours in dangers and
distress
·
Help the poor and needy as far as
possible
·
Keep good relation with our kith and
kin.
Scientists have found
that practising positive emotions; i.e.- love, gratitude, humour, hope,
enjoyment, etc. help us to live a more cheerful life. We should regularly practise
the things we are interested in and the skills and qualities we have and all
these increase our amusement in life and thereby let us live happily.
We should not be
self-centred. Rather we should share even the simplest matter with everyone.
A good relationship helps us to live with more jovialness.
So, we should—
·
Always be positive with everyone and
protest the wrong
·
Maintain a perfect conjugal relationship
and married off at the right age
·
Never look down upon the weak,
downtrodden and the poor.
Happiness is often seen
as a spiritual mix with mind boosted by hormones. So, needless to say, saying
prayers, practising religious activities and doing pilgrimage can certainly
make us feel better.
As previously stated,
every person, whoever s/he is, wants to be happy. But how one wants to be happy
may vary. As the personalities of all people are not the same, so the answer
will differ to a great extent.
